In November myself and 11 other women are hiking the Cape to Cape, 135km of the glorious South West Coast for the #moveformentalhealth initiative. Where we are raising funds for The Gidget Foundation and awareness for the power of movement in the battle against post natal depression/anxiety!
Whole body conditioning and fitness is highly important for us to make the most of the 8 day hike through some of Australia's most amazing environments. From the beach, to limestone coast line to karri forest it is set to be an epic adventure one that is life changing!
Below is an example of some conditioning movement patterns that I have been doing to get my body hike ready! All you need is a mini resistance band and YOUR BODY!
Repeat each movement 30-60 seconds each in a circuit then repeat 3-4 rounds!
HIKERS! Feel free to wear your pack weighted for extra load authentic to the hike.
